Bohemia Village Voice  Bohemia Village Voice

For bohemians everywhere

Editorial

Our lead story this month is the Council’s attempt to introduce communal bins to Bohemia (pages 1, 4. 11,12, 13 & 14) and Bohemia’s response. Particularly impressive were the results from the only street for which we have final results, St Peter’s Road, where 85% of those interviewed said they did not want communal bins. It will be interesting to see if the Council actually listens to the voices of its residents. HBC’s Richard Homewood, came to Bohemia to explain the Council’s thinking and answered many questions from the room (page 11).
Ron Fellows gives us a personal account of his boyhood memories in Brisco’s Wood, Summerfields and the Walled Garden (pages 10 and 11).
What were three huge cranes doing at the Shell Garage one morning last November? (p 15).
Are there basket lovers in Bohemia? The museum is running an exhibition until May 3rd devoted entirely to baskets from all over Europe (this page).
A Happy New Year to all our readers
Next issue: no. 68, published March 1st 2009.
