Alison Ansell has decided she likes Bohemia so much that she has moved in to the flat above her shop, Cheap and Cheerful, in Bohemia Road. Alison and her husband Paul, together with their twelve-year-old twins, William and Daniel, took up their new quarters on 29th February.

"I like the community spirit in Bohemia and the local characters," said Alison, "We’ve been living for the last five years in a big new estate, Sovereign Harbour North, in Eastbourne. It was very expensive, very nice and quiet, but there was no feeling of community and no community shop there."

Alison and Paul are currently trying to place the twins in a local school. They were turned down by William Parker because it is too full, so the choice now lies between the Grove, Filsham and Hillcrest. The boys were acting in a theatre workshop in Hastings Festival, and their group came third. Daughter Kate also likes the area, and moved into a separate flat behind the shop last month. Cheap and Cheerful, run by three generations of the family, is doing well, and Alison is expanding her range of goods to match customer demand.
