Lorraine: spiritual journey

Tony & Lorraine at Sea Spirit Hotel in Tower Road

Tony & Lorraine at Sea Spirit Hotel in Tower Road

Lorraine and Tony Edwards run the Sea Spirit Hotel in Tower Road, primarily as a B & B, but also as a centre for psychic and spiritual studies. The couple moved down here in July last year from Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. The house they chose, though having a spacious grace and many beautiful original features, was very neglected, and had been empty for months. The previous owner had let rooms out individually to adults with learning difficulties, and the building needed lots of TLC. Tony, a City & Guilds trained chef who has worked in London hotels, has also worked in construction, and brought the hotel up to current building regulations. There are six letting rooms, three of which are en-suite, the others with private bathrooms.
Lorraine is a qualified nursery nurse, and worked in that field for many years before becoming a gardener. She was drawn to the spiritual movement, went along to her local spiritualist church and eventually became a medium, after going on many courses over a period of several years. She is now a tutor and course organiser herself.
The Sea Spirit Hotel provides both residential and day courses. Lorraine has organised 13-14 courses for 2008, suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced students. The courses aim to develop students’ psychic powers, and to develop the self as a person. Tutors include internationally-known medium Tony Stockwell, who gave a public demonstration of clairvoyance at the White Rock in February this year. More information: www.sea-spirit-hotel.com
