Ornamental panier
This mysterious object is to be found hanging on the wall of the A21 Café. Turkish owner Erkan explains ‘It’s an traditional old-fashioned ornamental panier which is laid over the back of a donkey. It has small pockets for carrying things. It’s called a heybe (pronounced hay-bay)’.
