You can’t park in Bohemia. And that is killing our local businesses. Further evidence is provided this month by five more businesses closing or moving out of Bohemia (p1). Last year, the Voice supported the modest proposal for a 2-hour parking bay in London Rd, but nothing but a deafening silence has been heard since.
The spotlight in this issue is on Clarence Road: the proposed gating of the road by the park (p1) – an account of the WWII bomb which fell in 1943 (p5) – and our survey of opinion in this typical Bohemia street (p 6).
Local people have shown strong support for Hercules Post Office in the fight against its closure. A thousand people signed the petition, submitted at Christmas.
