County Cricket will be returning to Hastings on Spring Bank Holiday, May 26th 2008, for the first time for many years. Sussex County Cricket Club will play Essex County Cricket Club for the Friends Provident Trophy. The match is a group stage fixture. Kevin Miller, general manager at Horntye, was delighted when the news was announced and said, “Let’s hope it will become a regular fixture, even if only once a year.”             SCCC chief exec Gus Mackay said, “A return to Hastings is fantastic news for everyone.
