Another new store opened in Bohemia Road in September: Cheap & Cheerful. With 100s of lowpriced items from cosmetics to dishcloths, it’s sure to appeal to local customers. New owners are Alison and Paul Ansell from Eastbourne, helped out by Alison’s mum Maureen, daughter Katie and sons Lee and Ricky. ‘It’s our first shop’ says Alison, ‘although I’ve run plenty for other people.’ The shop is already stocked out with Xmas decorations and cards at a low price of 3 for a £1.
And the Jibbitz? ‘They’re decorations for kids’ plastic ‘holey clogs’. Ah – right.
