A Drip of real ale at Bohemia watering hole
Former CAMRA-award-winning pub the Dripping Spring is looking to revisit those glory days under new manager Jason Bingley. The Tower Road pub reintroduced a range of seven real ales in June, four of which hail from Kent or Sussex breweries. ‘Two of the ales are on all the time,’ says Jason, ‘but the others will change whenever a barrel runs out – usually every couple of days.’ A few years ago, with a similar policy of stocking a range of good beers, the ‘Drip’ was voted second-best pub in the country by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ales. Says long-term London Rd regular Ray Bisbey, ‘It’s always been a real ale pub, and Jason’s bringing it back to what it was.’
