Gensing councillor Andrew Cartwright held a meeting in early July with County Councillor Trevor Webb and Richard Homewood, the Director of Envir-onment and Safety at Hastings Council. Andrew says, ‘We discussed all the concerns and ideas which have recently been brought to mine or Cllr Webb’s attention. The Director has asked the Head of Parking and Highways, Rasoul Shahilow, to investigate each issue raised. After this, I hope to be able to respond directly to local residents and businesses concerning the specific issues which they have raised. If Council officers are able to make specific proposals for improving parking then I will ask them to make contact and consult with residents and businesses at that stage.’
