Briscoes Walk saucers….The Voice would like a cup of tea to match.

The question posed in the last issue was ‘Where in Bohemia are the large white saucers, pictured above, located?’  The answer is Briscoe’s Walk which runs from Horntye Road along Summerfields to Holmesdale Gardens. The first correct solution opened was sent in by Chris Adams of Salisbury Road who wins the £10 prize kindly supplied by Empress Art of Tower Road.
“ The saucers are part of the complex of communications equipment installed at the Briscoe’s Walk site which includes the large mast. Steve Arnold, communications manager for National Grid Wireless (formerly Crown Castle International) which own the site explained that the saucers reflect microwave signals from the mast back to a central hub, which collects from other sites in the area.
