CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOL. A parents/carers’ survey shows a high satisfaction rating. The latest, July poll shows that 99% of parents or carers are aware that the school is a church school, and 98% believe it is a caring place with a clear Christian foundation. To the statement ‘My child likes school’ only 8% disagreed, and 91% agreed that ‘My child is making good progress’. Only 80% agreed that ‘My child is not bullied or harassed’, but 96% thought that the ‘Teaching is good’. 93% felt comfortable about approaching the school with questions. Lowest satisfaction was registered for the statement ‘The school keeps parents well informed about the pupils’ RE work’ – only 60% agreed. On the other hand, 89% believed that ‘The school offers good opportunities for worship.’
ST PAUL’S SCHOOL. The school is advertising for a ‘hardworking, excellent’ upper Key Stage 2 teacher for a temporary fixed term post beginning January next year. Closing date for applications is Nov 10.
NATURE TRAIL. Our local nature trail, next door to Lidl’s, in Church Road, is open to the pubic on Tuesday 7th Nov. The park is owned and maintained by the Hastings Badger Protection Society. Visitors are welcome from 10:30 to 3:00 and will be shown round the grounds by field officer Peter Mawby and/or Don Wise. Anyone interested should just turn up at the park.
