One of the colourful fish caught up in Bohemia Road.

Earlier this week, a small shoal of fish were spotted swimming up Bohemia Road and several got caught on the hanging-basket hooks protruding from lamp-posts. The large fish are red and yellow with blue fins and a red tail. All have large, permanently open mouths.

It was reader Dave Kent of Cloudesley Road who first alerted the Bohemia Village Voice to the sudden appearance of these colourful piscine visitors. But where did they come from? Perhaps ‘they’ – the faceless bureaucrats who seem to govern so much of our lives were responsible.
