ST PETER’S CHURCH, BOHEMIA

NEWSLETTER JUNE 1999

From Fr. Alex, St. Peter’s Vicarage

Dear Friends,

We are approaching Petertide, the time when St. Peter’s celebrates our Patron Saint. We will do this at the Parish Eucharist at 10.30 am. On Sunday 27th June 1999.

We are inviting everyone living in the parish to this great celebration in our ParishChurch, followed by coffee in the Church Hall. Why not come along? You will find us friendly and eager to share our faith with you. You will be helped through the service, so you won’t be left wondering what to do. Christianity has lasted through two millennia – there must be something in it!

Also notice a new event this year. Do support our St. Peter’s Community fete. Come along and enjoy yourself.

Saturday 26th, June is ‘St. Peter’s Gift Day’. It is increasingly difficult to maintain St. Peter’s Church, a beautiful part of our heritage. It is your ParishChurch and I am sure, like many who know St. Peter’s well, you would not like to see this place of worship close.

We invite everyone in the parish to donate some money, however little, to help maintain this beautiful building.

It is a tradition, every year, for the parish priest to be available in the Church Porch, this year on 26th June, to meet people of the parish and to receive their gifts, to support St. Peter’s and the various charities and missions that we give to. Envelopes will be provided so that your gift will be anonymous.

I will be in the Church Porch on the 26th very much looking forward to meeting you.
