Dorothy & Keith Wood say ‘Thank You’

Dorothy & Keith Wood write (Mar 2009)

Dear Sir, we would like to thank everyone who attended our leaving party at the Dripping Spring in December last year. It was a wonderful send-off. We’d also like to thank all our many customers for their loyalty over the years.

We are both doing well: Keith is managing a grocery store in Hollington and I’m getting on with some decorating. I’ve done two rooms and have one more to go. As soon as the weather allows, I’ll be in my garden.

I find I’m still waking up in the early hours, but there’s plenty to do – I certainly don’t have time for daytime TV.

Dorothy & Keith Wood, Battle.

Keith Wood writes (May 2009)

Dear Sir, it is not always possible to express in words the kindness shown towards my Mother and myself, highlighted by the wonderful farewell party at the Dripping Spring [Dec 30 2008].

They did us proud and although it was a ‘farewell party’, I hope it is not in fact, farewell, as we intend to keep in touch with our many friends. Bohemia may have its problems, but there are people who do sterling work in service to the community.

The Bohemia Residents’ Association displays all that is good in community well-being and with the help of Cllr Andrew Cartwright have done much to improve the area. I would urge local people  to continue to support our local shops; they are an important part of Bohemia’s future.

Last but not least our best wishes to the people who stood up for Bohemia: Vic Chalcraft, Bill Third, Michael Foster and all our friends in the Labour party.

Finally, well done to Bohemia’s bible, the Village Voice. Many thanks. Keith Wood.
