Springfield Road Post Office – retirement homes depend on it

Dear Sir,

I feel very strongly about the threat to this post office and have written to Gary Herbert at the Consultation Team of the Post Office Ltd: “Dear Mr Herbert, with reference to the proposed closure of the Post Office, St Leonards Green branch, 45, Springfield Road, St Leonards, TN38 0TY.

It has clearly not been taken into account that this area has a disproportionate number of ‘retirement’ and ‘nursing homes’ who rely on this particular branch. The closure will affect 612 residents and 118 daytime carers who cannot travel further afield for this service.”

I also copied the letter to Michael Foster, MP, the Daily Telegraph, and the Guardian.
