Tower Road School demolished – Christchurch School built – 1988

The photographs in this gallery were brought into the Bohemia Village Voice office by an anonymous lady donor. On the reverse of picture #27 is written “Stormy sky from 2c Nealbrook House, St Leonards”. The Kodak reprint envelope in which the photographs were contained was from the Eastbourne office and marked with the name of Mrs Godden, 2 Winchester Road. The envelope is dated 22-8-88 and labelled ‘Tower Road School’.

The original Christchurch School was built on the site of Christ Church in London Road, St Leonards. In 1989 it moved to its new premises in Woodland Vale Road.
