This extract from self-published local writer John D. Robinson’s collection of poetry New Poems That Small Birds Will Fall in Love With, echoes a continuation of genres and styles of writing from the early to mid-1900’s. The influence of both the Beat and Surrealist movements within Robinson’s poetry is obvious from the outset as can be seen from his free flowing, aesthetic and almost prophetic style.
