SUSSEX FLAG – in May, the Sussex Association registered the Flag of Sussex (picture). Our county, approximately 80 by 20 miles, renowned for its High Weald ancient forest, green chalk hills of ‘blunt, bow-headed, whale-backed downs’ and its nature reserves at Chichester and Rye now boasts its very own flag.
