FOSSIL – a seventy-million year old fossil (picture) was found in May 2011 by three-year-old Indie. She picked up the flint pebble on St Leonards beach and told her mum ‘Look what I’ve found!’

The Natural History Museum in London kindly confirmed that it is indeed a thick fossilised sea urchin spine. “My daughter’s always been interested in geology – especially the Cretaceous period”, claimed proud mum Sarah.
