Tom Hodgkinson comes to St Leonards
Tom Hodgkinson, founder of Idler magazine
March 25th 2010 – At The Roomz on the very edge of Bohemia, one hundred ‘idlers’ congregated to celebrate a life of loafing and idleness with cult Idler hero Tom Hodgkinson (picture) – editor of The Idler, a bi-annual book-shaped magazine founded in 1993. The evening, (organised by Sarah Janes) was a tremendous success and featured eclectic acts including ‘Garland Hearse’ a rather avant-garde Tudor choir from Brighton, and ‘Unicorn Dad and Robot Dad’ a well-costumed guitar/drums outfit as well as Tom playing his ukelele, an exciting audience kazoo-a-long to Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty and DJs: Janey and The Assistant.
