Bohemia Village Voice  Bohemia Village Voice

For bohemians everywhere

Editorial

Election time is here again, and we feature interviews with all the candidates for Gensing ward (pp 21 to 25). The proposed Magdalen Development, blocks of flats containing 500 bedrooms, plus hundreds of car-parking spaces, has prompted local resident Bernard McGinley to investigate the history of the Magdalen Road Convent (pp 6 & 7). Sheila Shepheard reports on the last ever regular service at St. Peter’s (p 13), and local history finds continue to come to light in Bohemia Road (p 11). This will be the last Bohemia Village Voice under the present editorship. Susan King is going to pastures new, and Sarah Janes will be taking over for our next edition in June/July. Ed. Our next issue is: June 1st 2010
