St Pauls eggzellent show
Friends of St Paul’s hosted two Easter Events at the school, one for bonnets and one for eggs. First off was the Easter Bonnet Parade for Key Stage 1 children. There must have been forty wonderful creations, mums and dads had obviously been working very hard. Winner was Alfie Thomas in Mrs Green’s class with a conical pale green hat, embellished with dozens of tiny figures and trimmed with hanging Easter eggs.
The Eggz-factor competition, for Key Stage 2 children was equally impressive with its range of entries including an egg box with the four Beatles – a Dalek – Little Britain’s Andy in his wheelchair – Mrs Doubtfire – Queen Elizabeth II – and Spiderman. Winner was Chloe Vincent, of Newgate Road (pictured), with a very realistic Marge Simpson. Judges were: Mayor Maureen Charlesworth, street bobby Andy Hubbard and Voice editor John Humphries.
