Horntye Park’s catering manager Gill Brett has created her own piece of heaven – an office that’s ALL pink. Gill, 41-year old mother of three (Kerry, 18, Holly, 14 and Sean, 11) painted her ‘cubby hole’ about 18 months ago in her favourite colour and since then colleagues and friends have been donating bits and pieces.
Everything from the screen saver on her PC to the office safe, filing cabinet, pens, folders, Christmas tree – even the fuse boxes on the wall are now pink. “It’s cheery – it makes me happy – even my underwear is pink”, says the ever-smiling Gill. “My husband Richard wouldn’t let me have a pink room at home, so I’ve made one here”.
Sports Complex manager Kevin Miller is so taken by Gill’s colour scheme that he intends to have the entire centre decorated in pink. Really? No, not really.
