Dear Sir, though I no longer live in Bohemia, my first years were spent in North Road, some fifty years ago  I take a great interest in your magazine, surprising how much I have recalled since I started reading it.  I can recall the line of houses which stood where LIDL and the petrol station are now. One of my memories is of walking down Bohemia Road on a Saturday morning and seeing a wedding party about to leave.  Are there any pictures of the row? Adrian Cirket

Dear Sir, I was delighted to be  handed a copy of your Village Voice and may I be permitted to say what a joy to see such a high quality magazine [you may – ed]. I have also read with great interest the memories of some of the residents. My Grandmother was born in Cambridge but was living at 8, Magdalen Terrace when she married. I have photos of all the residences except Magdalen Terrace. I have searched high and low to no avail. Perhaps one of your long-standing locals might be able to help me? I moved to Hastings in 1968 and the buildings, which were knocked down to build Hollingsworths showroom, today occupied by supermarket, were still standing, regretfully I was not aware of their significance to me until 6 years ago. Many thanks. Jerry Kind. 1, Cloverlea, Hastings (751184).

Adrian, Jerry – happy to oblige – editor.
