Healthy Start Voucher

CHEAP & CHEERFUL –  announces that it now accepts ‘Healthy Start’ vouchers. These £3 tokens are issued to people on benefit or on low income and are to be used only for milk, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. “We can and do keep a record of any money left over which people can spend later”, says Alison of Cheap & Cheerful.
ACQUISITIVE CRIME – the Voice has been asked by Sussex Police to help distribute some of these ‘Surecode’ permanent UV security marker pens. We have 20 and they will be given free of charge to the first people to ask for them.
CUBA – Cuba’s Bohemia magazine is 100 years old. This literary, social, and artistic publication first came out in May 1908. With a current circulation of 100,000 it was dubbed by Fidel Castro as ‘the mainstay of national identity’. Its name derives from it’s owner Miguel Perez’s passion for Puccini’s La Bohème. Readers have been invited to take part in the contest “Bohemia in my Life”, for children and adults from any country.  http://www.cubaheadlines.com
CONCORDIA HALL – full kitchen & large garden, available to hire for weddings & events/weekly groups, Smaller conference/class room also available on upper floor, very good rates, please telephone Sonia for details or to book on 07964 065474
TOWER ROAD – the ‘build-out’ was completed in May, on schedule and without much disruption. The effect is to constrict the road at its junction with St Peter’s Road and this makes for a safer school crossing (see pic).
