THE OLD BAKERY – this London Road shop has been open for some weeks now, selling secondhand books, clothes, records, videos, dvds, magazines and general bric-a-brac. A house clearing service is advertised. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm, Thurs, Friday and Saturday. The Old Bakery, 130, London Road.
LOAN SHARKS – Bohemia-based local MP Michael Foster gives his backing to ESCC’s loan shark one stop shop initiative. ‘Loan sharks are those who prey on the immediate needs of, often poor, people and then threaten them should they not repay. It doesn’t have to be like that – loans from unregistered lenders are not legally enforceable’. Anyone who is worried about this kind of debt should call the dedicated 24/7 number: 0300 555 2222.
RICHARD SMART – our local accountancy expert is back in Uganda, ‘seeing what he can do to help the poor’. He’s not expected back until September.

CAR STICKERS – white vinyl ‘Bohemia’ stickers with peel-off back, available from the Voice office at 79, Bohemia Road, price £1 each.
SECURITY PENS – for marking your possessions, available free, courtesy of Sussex Police, from the Voice office.
