Cricket fans will be delighted to learn that Lashings World XI are back in town, and this time it’s Twenty20 cricket. Mark your diaries now: Thursday 7th August at Horntye Park Sports Comp-lex. They’ll be up against Hastings Priory CC and Bexhill CC in the 1066 Sporting Club Twenty20 Cricket Challenge. We are told “The Lashings World XI squad is sure to be packed with cricketing legends. The side has developed into the Dream Team of cricket and when it comes to the title of greatest club side in the world, that distinction undoubtedly belongs to Lashings. This will be a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s greatest players close up and in Twenty20 action for the first time ever in Hastings. n Tickets are now on sale at Horntye Park Sports Complex and at Hastings Information Centre, Priory Meadow, (0845 274 1001).
