The Bohemia Walled Garden Association (BWGA) is delighted with the response following our feature article last month. Sue Thomson says “We have 150 signatures to our petition, we’ve met the manager of Hastings Borough Council’s Estates Department and another meeting is scheduled”. Sue, ‘I’m writing a letter a day’, says she’s in now in contact with MP Michael Foster, Hastings Environment Network (HEN) and Bohemia’s three primary schools. “Anne Hannay of Christchurch School thinks it’s very exciting and wants to be involved”, says Sue. “A lot of local people have never been to the walled garden and didn’t even know it existed”.
