St Peters Road petition

Colin Foxand & Bill Third No wheelie bins

Colin Foxand & Bill Third No wheelie bins

‘Thanks, but no thanks’ seems to be the attitude of St Peter’s Road residents to the councils twin-bin scheme. Colin Fox and Bill Third are busy collecting signatures for a petition against the proposed plans. ‘Last year we were promised consultation with a Field Officer, but no-one from HBC came to see us’, says Colin. ‘Currently, we simply leave our rubbish for collection in Cornfield Terrace at the rear of our garden, where the bins are stored. It will be madness having to drag them up the back steps, through the house (more steps) and then down the front steps’, he continued. Bill Third said ‘When Vivienne Bond was our local councillor she fought hard to keep the bins away. I just hope Andrew Cartwright will be as effective’.
