Our local museum is putting on family events in March and April. “They are part of our regular monthly Discover… drop in activities for families.  They run between 1.30 & 3.30pm  All ages are welcome; children under 13 must be accompanied.  There is a voluntary donation of £1 per child.
 At the session on Sat 7th March, All Change!, museum staff will be setting out a number of activities for people to do that either use basic scientific skills (such as classification) or involve handling objects from their Natural History collections. You will also look at different materials and how they can be affected by various agents of change (light, water etc). This will be followed by a similar session for teachers on Tues 10 March.
On Sat 4th April, it’s ‘Walk & Build with Joc Hare’ . Joc has created many pieces of work in Summerfields Woods. You are invited to join this workshop to see Joc’s work and to collect materials for a group build in the museum grounds. This event will take place in the museum grounds and will be dependent on the weather. Please ring the museum on the day for confirmation.
