GRAHAM KNIGHT – local accountant Graham Knight, (pictured) born and bred in the area, has returned   to his roots in the heart of St Leonards. He spent a number of years working overseas, as a financial consultant, for a group of oil companies based in Dubai, Singapore, Australia and the United States. Graham said “I was working as a local accountant in Hastings on a Friday, and by Sunday I had visited Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman”. Graham returned to the UK in 2007 and formed a locally-based accountancy practice, Knight Accountants.
TAI-CHI – If you’ve ever wanted to discover what tai-chi is all about, or find out more about it, now is your chance. Tai-chi instructors from all over Hastings and surrounding areas will be holding an event in Alexandra Park on Sunday 20th September from 10 am to 12. 30 pm. The event is free, and there will be demonstrations to watch, plus the opportunity to join in if you wish.
 BOHEMIA ROAD – Planning permission has been granted to change the former Woods newsagents premises at 86/88 Bohemia Road into two residential houses.  New owners are Hogtrough Lane Developments.
