Street bobbys report

Andy Hubbard (pictured) is our local street bobby, (police community support officer, PCSO).
l SALISBURY ROAD – September saw many issues in the Salisbury Road area from minor nuisance behaviour to physical violence on a pupil at St Paul’s School on the first day back. I hand delivered nearly 200 letters in the Salisbury Rd area asking for help and information to identify the youths responsible and establishing how many other residents have been experiencing problems. I have received a very positive response. Thank you to all residents who replied.
l TAKE CARE – in regards to the change in the seasons may I please take this opportunity to pass on some advice to you all. As nights draw in please take care when out and about. Stay in well-lit areas if walking and let someone know where you are and what time you will be arriving. In respect of cars, park in a well-lit area and remove all items from view. If you go out at night please try to remember to leave a light on or a radio. The slightest doubt that some one may be in will deter the opportunist burglar!
l GENSING PANEL – the newly established Gensing panel meeting that started off full of promise has taken a bit of a battering due to falling numbers attending. We started off with nearly thirty people and now we are at about 8 to 10. The panel is not for the police, it is for the residents of Gensing to have their say and make changes for the community. Please come along to the next panel meeting. I look forward to seeing you there. Thank you.
