A new hairdressers’ has come to Bohemia Road. Lorraine Edwards [pictured] opened her salon, ‘Bohemian Hair’, at the beginning of October.
Lorraine is sole proprietor, and this is her first venture. A local girl, she has lived in Silverhill all her life, and trained at Hastings College, where she got her NVQ2 in hairdressing. She worked for Eclipse, in Bohemia Road, for a while, before starting out with her own business.  “I’ve gone for a contemporary look to the salon.” she said. “It’s quite welcoming. I’m happy to have people just talking about their hair – just nice and happy.” She said, “I specialise in Matrix and GHD straighteners.” Lorraine was pleased with the amount of bookings made by customers coming in on her first day. “I will be doing a loyalty card system, and a special percentage off for Christmas.”  The salon is at 52 Bohemia Road, next to Mundays.
