Dave Vicarey

Dave Vicarey opened his new business, Hastings Signs, 259 London Road at the beginning of September. It’s very much a family firm, owned by Dave [pictured]  and his father Eddie, and assisted by Dave’s younger brother, Steven Vicarey. Dave, who grew up in Hastings, said, “I was doing sign-making for a company in Bromley for three years. Then I decided to make a go of it on my own and return to Hastings. So far it’s doing really well.” He initially wanted to be an architect, but then decided that the length of training required would necessitate too much time sitting at a desk “That’s not me. I’m very much a hands-on person. I like going out and about doing this type of work and seeing the job through from design to installation.”
He continued, “We offer top quality sign solutions to suit our customers’ every need, from supplying vinyl lettering to full vehicle graphics, from window displays to shop fascias. We provide all the answers to raising the profiles of our customers’ businesses.” Dave has recently designed and installed the shop fascia of Focus, a new estate agents starting up in Silverhill.
