Some shops close, others open, some move and a few disappear for ever. Masquerade has gone (p21), but Bohemian Hair (p20) and Hastings Signs (p19) have arrived. Dominic’s Barber Shoppe has moved to Silverhill (p28) and Silverhill Computers to St Leonards (p9). A block of three shops in Bohemia Road are going to auction, all with planning consent for conversion to dwellings (p6). It’s hard to believe that Bohemia was once St Leonard’s premier shopping centre (p25). Our next issue is: Feb 1st 2010.
