Rod hails from Hertfordshire and was in town visiting his daughter. Seeing the A21 caf&eacute;, he liked the building and was making a pencil sketch on brown paper when our reporter passed by. Rod trained as an artist at St. Martin&rsquo;s School of Art, in London, and has been a professional photographer all his life.&nbsp; He told the Voice that he likes drawing on brown paper and often scans in his sketches and fills in the colours on his computer.
