Photo by Diane Haberstroh, Feb 2013<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Being snowed in the past couple of days, made it feel like a lost weekend. You really couldn&#8217;t go any where. The roads were barely plowed. I did venture out yesterday afternoon and got caught on the entrance ramp to the Southern State Highway because the ramp wasn&#8217;t plowed. Three cars up from me got stuck in snow. About half an hour later, the Dowling College baseball team, that was on their way to a practice, managed to push the stuck car out and onto the Southern State Highway. I helped by shoveling the snow away from the vehicle&#8217;s tires with a spade (I keep a spade in the trunk of my car) before the guys pushed the car out. I must admit that I was a bit nervous when my turn came to go over the spot the other vehicle had gotten stuck in. It really wasn&#8217;t a good idea to be out, but cabin fever got the best of me. I did manage to get in a walk, but only to a local place.
