2006<\/strong><\/span> The magazine started life in May 2006 as an email sent to a mere half-a-dozen subscribers. By September 2006, A4-size printed copies of the news-sheet were distributed by hand to homes and businesses in Bohemia, Sussex. Printed copies of the magazine became available for the first time in Sep 2006. The first editor was John Humphries<\/a>. The original website was created by Suchart Thittichai.<\/p>\n

2007<\/span> <\/strong>The format was changed to A5 in April 2007, edition 46. John Humphries was superseded as editor by Julian Beecroft<\/a>, who is still the magazine’s consultant editor.<\/p>\n

2008 <\/strong>Susan King<\/a> took over editorship from Julian Beecroft and remained editor until 2010.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2009<\/strong><\/span> In 2009, it was replaced by this site, designed by Alan Jeffries<\/a> and powered by WordPress.<\/p>\n

2010 <\/span><\/strong>S<\/span>arah Janes<\/span><\/a><\/span> <\/span><\/strong>over from Sue in 2010 and changed the style of the magazine by incorporating more arts-related stories.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2011<\/strong> <\/span>The last printed edition was number 81, published Dec 2011. Sarah Janes left  in 2011 and editorship reverted to John Humphries<\/a>, ably assisted by Jonathan Broughton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2012 <\/strong>Early in 2012, the website became infected by a virus and the site was temporarily closed down. A clean version of the site was resurrected and all lost articles were painstakingly re-loaded. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2013 <\/b><\/span>At the time of writing (April 2013), the site is back up and running. The <\/span>Bohemia Village Voice<\/em> is enormously grateful to <\/span>Alan Jeffries<\/a> for all his help in creating and maintaining the site whilst managing to fit in the demands of his own family and business.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
