Three women in fight for Gensing seat

Candidates from the three main parties are fighting for a seat in Gensing ward at the by-election on Thursday 1st May. None of the smaller parties are putting forward a candidate, so votes will be channelled into only three options, instead of split into six as last time.
This year’s election features an all-female line-up Vivienne Bond (Lib-Dem), Cath Burrows (Conserv-ative) and Kim Forward (Labour). We asked them all the same questions so that readers can measure one against the other.

Yes, election time is here again and this year the voters of Bohemia are faced with a simple choice – which of three women, representing the main political parties, to choose for our Gensing ward. The stakes are high – the result could well mean a change in the overall make up of Hastings Borough Council.

Turn the page and read what each candidate has to say for herself. All three ladies were asked the same questions – judge for yourself how you like the answers. Above all, don’t waste your vote, and may the best man – sorry, woman – win.
